What type of ps1 memory cards work on the ps2?

I was told that you could play ps1 games on a ps2 with a ps1 memory card. But I also know for a fact, from what I've read, that some ps1 memory cards don't work on a ps2 because of size issues, or fitting problems? I'm not sure about either of these. Could someone please confirm my suspicions? Thanks!

4. It's true that you can play PS1 games on the PS2. I believe all PS1 memory card types will work on your PS2.
5. i would imagine that all ps1 cards would fit into the ps2 slots because they are all the same size, you can play ps1 games on ps2 with or without a memory card you just wont be able save your game without one or on a ps2 card, try seaching the website below for more details
