What size flash drive to put a movie on my netbook?

I'm looking for my first flash drive. How big do I need for a movie or a few television shows to entertain the kiddo on long flights? This is for a netbook, which of course has no DVD drive. What about a size to install a game such as SimCity? Will a flash drive even work for something like that? Thanks!

1. Movies are usually 4.5GB, so you'd be needing a pretty big flash drive for what you're looking to do with it. You could probably just get a small external USB Hard Drive, that would be a lot more practical. 2. most movies will fit in less than 1gb, but 'hi-def' versions can be up to 8gb. Typical size of a tv show is 300-500 mb.
