How do you put songs and pictures from your computer on a flash drive?
Yesterday I bought an 8 GB flash drive. I have an Acer lap top computer and a Sony regular computer. I stuck the flash drive in the lap top, clicked on my computer, and found the flash drive. But from there I get lost. I am 61 and not computer smart, so could someone tell me in idiot language, step by step how to get the songs on the flash drive and the pictures? I really need help. Thank you so much!

- A flash drive is viewed by your computer as another fixed disc drive. To copy files to it, use the same method you would use to copy files from one folder to another. Select the files, copy them, open the flash drive, and paste them.
- ha its ok, all you have to do is go into my computer like you did to make sure your computer is reading the flash drive then, you will need to find where the files are that you want to put onto the flash drive once found just highlight all files right click on them and select copy minimize/close this window and go back to your flash drive from my computer and if you want them all together right click on blank space and select create new folder once done couble click on folder to open it once done right click and select paste this will take the files from your computer and place them in your flash drive Hope this works for you good luck
- The easiest thing to do is open up separate windows. Leave one open for your flash drive and open "my documents" from the start menu. You can drag and drop to and from both windows.
- When you want to use your flash drive for the first time you have to format it first. Go to my computer, there you see the drive of your flash drive. Right click on it and format. You have to format it as FAT32. After that is done your flash drive will become an extra hard drive. So when you want to put songs and pictures on it, just copy them to your flash drivfe. You can do it with Copy and Paste or you can do it ctrl +v (copy) ctrl + v ( paste) Hope I could be of help I am 64 bye the way. So you are still a couple of years behind me.
