  1. go to www.crucial.com and it will scan you machine and give the absolute correct configuration possibilities for your pc.
  2. Yes you can use any combination you like, Provided they are the same type of memory. BUT, for best performance you want to use matched pairs of memory sticks as they will give you the most speed. The exact same Make, Speed & Size.
  3. Check your motherboard specs like the amount of RAM slots your have and the max amount it will support. Then compare RAM and see whats the best for you. But using a 2GB and 2 1GB is manageable.
  4. yes you can have 2x1gb and 1x2gb
  5. Depending on how many memory slots you have in your motherboard and what is the maximum amount of RAM you can put into it.As per my knowledge, the most GB in one module or RAM stick is 1 GB. So if you saw ad that says 2GB of RAM that means 2 sticks of 1 GB RAM. Now in order for you to have 4 GB or RAM, you must have 4 memory slots in your motherboard. And you need to install 4 of 1GB of RAM in it to make 4 GB or RAM. Hope this help you.
