What kinds of digital photography memory cards are available? I am currently in the market for a digital camera. I see that there are a number of different digital memory cards available. Are memory cards a prime necessity to make a digital camera function? I recently purchased a digital camera with 512 internal memory.Whenever I attempt to capture a picture,I am getting the message no card. Please tell me what is the function of internal memory in a digital camera and are memory cards used to drive the internal memory to function.Whenever I connect the camera to my PC the system recognises the camera as a removable disk storage with 0 bytes capacity sice no card is inserted. Why does the system not read the storage capacity of the internal memory. Anyone please explain the technology.
How much is a gamecube with three memory cards and 1 game worth? What type of ps1 memory cards work on the ps2? I was told that you could play ps1 games on a ps2 with a ps1 memory card. But I also know for a fact, from what I've read, that some ps1 memory cards don't work on a ps2 because of size issues, or fitting problems? I'm not sure about either of these. Could someone please confirm my suspicions? Thanks!
What are the differences between memory cards and how do you tell which one you need to buy? As far as I know, memory cards have different shapes, sizes, speeds. When someone mentions something like "512MB DDR2 PC2-4200," then "512MB" refers to the size, "DDR2" refers to the shape of the memory card, and "PC2-4200" tells you something about the speed. Am I correct? What does "PC2-4200" tell you? What does it mean? Let's say I want to buy 1GB DDR2 memory for a 2GHz AMD computer. Which memory should I buy from this list: http://www.pricewatch.com/memory Earlier one time I had purchased a memory, and it was the wrong speed (probably). My computer didn't recognize the memory. How do I make sure that I pick the right type of memory for my computer?
There are many brands of SDHC memory cards available with enormous variations in price - is any brand better? I am treating myself to a new digital camera in the new year so am looking at the various accessories. The camera takes SDHC memory - when I look at this online the price differences between the different brands are stunning! I know when buying film for my old cameras they had different good/bad qualities depending on manufacturer and the buyers preference. Do SDHC cards work the same way? Can anyone make recommendations ro should I just go for the cheapest?
do memory cards really make a difference in photography? i was looking at a photography magazine today and i kept seeing advertisments for memory cards and they all state the speeds of them . but my question is do they really make a difference. Like the kingston is a very popular line but it isnt as fast as the somethign with a "t" well from what i kno i could be wrong. but does it even make a noticable difference? well duh i understand memory cards equals more pictures..that wasnt my question..im talking about the speed of the memory card.
What are the cons to the Nintendo Wii memory cards versus a hard drive? I am curious if the 1GB card will fill up fast, and also if anyone knows if Nintendo plans to release a hard drive in the future and have the memory cards as optional to keep up with other next gen systems. One other thing, i have noticed that you can go in the digital camera section at an electronic store and get a memory card that looks exactly like the Wii memory card and has the SD format as well for a much cheaper price. i was told it would work if it was SD format but i am curious if anyone has tried it?
Are all memory cards compatible with my camera? I just bought a SVP digital camera, (XTHinn 706, 7.0 mp w/ 16 MB built in memory) and want to buy a memory card for it. It says it has a 2GB expandable memory and supports up to 16GB. What does that mean? Also... Are all cards compatible with all cameras? My camera?
Is there any advantage of any of these memory cards over the others? My laptop has a slot that will take SD, MS/Pro, MMC, or XD memory cards. It there any advantage of one over the other? Are "SD High Capacity" and "MS/Pro Duo" compatible with the originals? They are going to be on sale at Costco after Thanksgiving and I would like to pick up a 4 gig card for backups.
Digital Camera Memory Cards - Does your computer have to have a slot for one to use one? I've never owned a Digital Camera before. I'm considering buying one and buying a Memory Card. However my computer is a 2000 edition so it doesn't have a Memory Card Slot. Would I be able to utilize my Memory Card without a slot in the computer? I'm hoping it stores extra memory on the card and can access through the camera and into the computer that way through USB. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Why not use memory cards to save text files instead of floppies? I'm wondering if there's any downside to it. Suppose you want to save an html or a pdf document that has text and photos, or add a text file to a collection of photos stored on a memory card. So why not use a memory card as an all-purpose storage device? It can go from the camera to the MP3 player to the printer to the computer without any fuss. I don't see any contra-indication. Do you? It's even less trouble than burning a CD! But perhaps the data is more stable on a CD than a flash memory.
Are all memory cards available in the market are original? Hi I want to but memory card for my K750i from where I should buy memory cards? Are all memory cards available in the market are original How can I know that this one is fake or original From where I can purchase original MicroSD memory card.
How/where do i get DS games for putting on memory cards? A friend recently returned from Honk Kong with an EWIN2 adaptor for the Nintendo DS, the adaptor had a memory card (the type found in mobile phones) in it with several games on it. I can buy a memory card and I've found a site to buy the adaptors but what I'd like to know is; where do I download the games to put them on the memory card, and do I need any additional software to do this? Obviously I'm new to this, but I think I've got the basics right ie; download the games, put them on the memory card, put the memory card in the adaptor and put that into the DS. But if there's any additional information I need - only certain memory cards work etc - I would be greatful for this as well.
